And because they are fully radiometric they can be used in smoke-filled rooms and absolute darkness where they can be employed to detect missing persons and heat sources.
The ICFA camera is finely-balanced yet tough enough to withstand a fall from roughly six feet (1.80m) and light enough to be operated single-handedly – by both left and right-handed users – over longer periods and under extreme conditions – in burning buildings, on top of houses, on ladders – even on all fours if that’s what the situation requires.
The cameras are equipped with a variety of valuable functions and features that are all clearly arranged and easy to use – even with the thick protective gloves that firefighters wear in especially gruelling conditions . There’s the large TFT LCD monitor that can display a selection of colour palettes which are suited to a variety of different scenarios, the sturdy hand-strap that you can wrap around your wrist to stop you from parting company with your camera and there’s the high resolution UFPA detector with an extremely high repetition rate and a broad dynamic measuring range.
