TTK 140 S compact dehumidifier
When you buy a dehumidifier you need to be sure that the unit you choose is able to meet the demands put on it. A good dehumidifier needs to have a powerful compressor, preferably one that has such reserves that it can even be used to bring down high levels of relative humidity in unheated rooms. It has to be built to last and it has to be able to withstand the rigours of daily use – even take a knock a bump occasionally if that’s what its robust construction allows. And it also has to have the right features, like a hygrostat to monitor the relative humidity and maintain the selected value, a hot-gas defrosting mode for non-stop operation over longer periods and ideally a built-in operating hours counter to log the exact extent of drying operations over longer periods.
The TTK 140 S is such a dehumidifier.
One look is all it takes to appreciate that the engineers who designed and developed the TTK 140 S sure meant business when they built this extremely robust and powerful compact dehumidifier. The 0.66 KW compressor can extract as much as 35 litres (7.7 gals) of excess moisture out of the air in only one day. The condensate is then either collected in the 7-litre tank which has a spillover protection function and a warning light to indicate that the tank needs to be emptied or drained off via a connected hose which can be attached to the unit if unsupervised drying is intended over a longer period.
The list of features is impressive and seemingly endless: the TTK 140 S, which is produced solely in the EU, is equipped with floor-friendly rubber castors that make manouevring child’s play, a parking brake to ensure that the sturdy plastic-coated sheet metal unit stays where you put it and ergonomically-formed grip moulds which making stacking easier. In addition there’s the easy-to-remove, easy-to-clean air filter which filters animal hairs, fluff, lint and dust out of the ambient air and prevents bacterial growth from spreading and there’s the price that quite simply defies comparison.
